villavillacoola: 10/15/11 it has officially been one year of photos. This date last year marked the beginning of a single photograph every day for as long as I could possibly take them. This photo shows the party I had to celebrate the one year anniversary, and most of the people that were in the photos ( which are behind them on the wall). I am the red person in the middle. I told everybody that the theme was a dresscode of solid colours, but I was the only one who followed. Regardless, it was still a crazy time, and people kept telling me I should start to put them online. I’ve been resisting, arguing that the internet seems to diminish any mystery and authenticity a photograph may own because the public is granted complete access. But then I remembered my inspiration for doing this- Jamie Livingston, a New York artist that did this for 20 years until he passed away. His close friends posted all of the pictures on this website : http://photooftheday.hughcrawford.com/  I think as a way of paying homage to Livingston and his friends, I am going to put mine up as well, but I’m also looking at this as an opportunity to write about the ones that have a story behind them.  hope everybody enjoys! maddy
